Do you ever find yourself stopping to take a look around and wonder how you got to where you are now? Sometimes it’s easy to draw the connection. If you have a baby in a baby carriage, chances are there was also love and marriage; not necessarily in any particular order. There are other circumstances you find yourself in where you may not necessarily know the cause. It’s sort of like if when the last time you stopped to evaluate the situation you were young, in great shape, and a starter on your basketball team. Then, the next time you stop and take a look around, you realize you are a fat paralegal for an ambulance chasing law firm. You may find yourself wondering “How did I get here?” It’s simple. The honest and most polite response is the truth: life happened and it happened to you.
Some people find themselves in situations for their betterment. Maybe the last time they stopped to take a look around they were intoxicated and being arrested. Now, when they evaluate the situation they’re married with two kids and a nice job. Whether for better or worse, in good times and bad, life will always just happen to you and there is no way around it. Enjoy the good times, learn from the bad and never forget to tell people you love them. As Drake would say, “Everybody dies, but not everybody lives.”
