Have you ever found yourself living in a scary part of town? It happens to the best of us. Maybe you just moved to a new town and have a terrible Realtor. Maybe you’re just starting out and it’s all you can afford. Maybe the neighborhood was really nice when you bought it, 25 years ago, and it’s all just gone with the times. Whatever the reason you find yourself there, chances are that you’re attached to it. It’s your home and no matter how bad the traffic is, or how many drugs your neighbor is doing, you just aren’t quite ready to part with it. Sometimes you may tell yourself that the gun shots in the night sky are like fireworks.
It’s funny how we put so much pride in our homes. Chances are that if you are not doing drugs in your house, you actually care about it and see it as a place all your own. It’s a reflection of your style, your accomplishments and your family. The place where we complete our best work, raise our children, and share a life together. Your home is your castle whether you happen to be a man or not. It takes a lot for most people to leave once they’ve put down roots. Some people are drifters and never seem to become too attached to one place or another. No matter where it is, your home is where your heart is.
