There is something to be said for being polite and having manners. Life just tends to be easier. There are some people that are always in a crisis. You know it, I know it and they know it. Sometimes people are genuinely a victim of an unforeseeable circumstance. Other times people get themselves into terrible situations. There are some people that basically become a magnet for trouble. It’s really sad when they consult others on the train wreck about to happen. It’s kind of like if you were walking down the street with someone and you stayed on a safe lit path and they decided to swim across a canal. You both are on the same road and your friend decides to go the other way. You warn them and yet they proceed. Now you are safe on your journey and they call to you from the canal asking you to help get them out. A rational person can’t foresee how a situation like this could ever happen. Yet metaphorically, situations like this happen every day. Some people can’t seem to come up, yet they always chose to swim against the current and make their lives that much harder. Sometimes you will feel sorry for these people, but if you hang around long enough your empathy will wear thin.
