Turn on the news and what do you hear? How did this happen? Where did they go wrong? Well (it), (they) or (them) were not properly vetted. But what does it all mean? It’s one of those words that people just sort of throw around. Most people aren’t entirely sure what it means. It’s sort of like synergy or holistic or logistics.
Forms: to vet, vetted, vetting
Def: to appraise verify or check for accuracy authenticity or validity etc.
Vetting is done everyday by people all over for various reasons, hiring, purchasing, investigating. But what about other decisions that are just as, if not more important than those. What about picking a spouse?
So, I know what you are thinking. Oh I love (him/her) I know (him/her) as well as myself. Maybe and maybe not. Here’s a question. How long have known (him/her) and how long have you been with (him/her)? If it’s under 2 years I guaranty you don’t know them that well. I’ll tell you a secret that feeling you feel, may come from from an idealized sense of romance or possibly just your pants. After 2 years all the oowie gooie feelings start to fade. And another things beauty fades, money gets spent, and partying gets old. If your relationship is base on any of those things it will be good for a while. But like a not so smart car it will crumble under pressure.
So I’m not sure if you know this or not but, marriage is kinda a B.F.D. Legally this person can take money from your account, chose whether or not to pull the plug on you, and accidentally or intentionally tank your credit score. So be careful ! Pick wisely! And whatever you do realize marriage is a binding contract with real consequences.
